About Us

The Letchworth Osteopathic and Sports Injury Clinic has been established since 2001 in Letchworth Garden City. We started as a one person, one room clinic and have grown rapidly.

Approximately 70% of our patients come to us via recommendation either from other clients, or other healthcare practitioners.

We treat people of all ages from babies to the elderly, our oldest patient being 95 years of age and youngest just a few days.

Our Staff

cindy mcintyre   Cindy McIntyre BSc. (Hons) Ost., M.phil. is the principal Osteopath who originally started the clinic. Cindy trained and qualified at the renowned British School of Osteopathy where she taught Osteopathic Technique for 7 years to final year students and is now an external examiner. She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and is a member of The British Osteopathic Association (BOA). Her special interests are chronic pain, sports injuries, post and anti-natal conditions, and problems associated with babies and children. She treats with massage and manipulation, and cranial osteopathy and has studied for many years with the Sutherland Cranial College continually updating and improving her cranial skills. Cindy is a keen athlete and golfer.

 

 

Peter Colvin

 

 

 

Peter Colvin DO Formally of 12 Harley Street, London, Peter has 30 years experience as an Osteopath and is a clinical tutor and examiner for the College of Osteopaths in Borehamwood. He is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is on the UK register of Expert Witnesses.

 

 

 

 

 

Sue Gipson

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sue Gipson became a Remedial Massage Therapist through her keen interest in sport, currently she is an active member of a local Triathlon club. This year Sue was part of a crew for a 4 man cycling team who were racing 3,000 miles across America. Utilising massage the team were able to cycle injury free, 24 hours a day, and completed the course in 7 days. She has also provided injury back up for runners on many 10k events. Sue not only treats patients with sports injuries but many different types and ages of patient, she advocates the benefits of massage are far reaching and promote a feeling of well being.

 

 

 

Sarah Hyatt-Jenkins   Sarah Hyatt-Jenkins LCPH MARH is a homeopathic practitioner who qualified at The College of Practical Homeopathy in London after a 4 year training programme and 100 clinical hours. She began her interest in homeopathy aged 19 when it was suggested she use Rescue Remedy to calm her nerves during her driving test. She dabbled with flower essences for a few years before consulting a qualified homeopath for a condition that may have required surgery, but after homeopathic treatment this was not necessary. This convinced her to train. She set up her own supervised student clinic in her final year and hasn't looked back since. Sarah treats patients of all ages, male and female, but following the birth of her first child, Sarah was approached by many mothers and began to specialise in pregnancy and birth issues, children's ailments and women's health.

 

 

Angiras Auro

  Angiras Auro BSc.(Hons), Cert. ASK, Reiki 2 is a kinesiologist and Reiki practitioner. She discovered the benefits of kinesiology in 2001 and embarked upon training and qualified as a practitioner in 2004. Angiras is continuing her professional development to gain advanced qualifications and is registered with the Association of Systemic Kinesiology and the UK Reiki Federation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maria Zanelli

 

 

 

 

Maria Zanelli Deep tissue massage is provided by Maria Zanelli BSc. (Hons) Sports Therapy, who trained and qualified at The University of Bedfordshire.  As well as an indepth training in sports injury repair and prevention she has also been taught to utilise electrotherapy such as ultrasound to help facilitate healing.  Maria is also a qualified fitness instructor.
